Maps and Materials
State Maps: Species Count by County: FESTF has developed maps for each US state with counts of species listed under the Endangered Species Act by county/parish. County counts are based on unique "Entity ID" records in spatial data representing current range obtained from the US Fish and Wildlife (ECOS: Home) and NOAA Fisheries Directory (Species Directory - ESA Threatened & Endangered | NOAA Fisheries) on October 1, 2024. Entities include species with the following listing statuses under the ESA: Candidate, Endangered, Threatened, Proposed Endangered, Proposed Threatened, Similarity of Appearance (Endangered), Similarity of Appearance (Threatened), and Experimental Population, Non-Essential.
States and Counties with Pesticide Use Limitations Areas (PULAS) for Listed Species under National Marines Fisheries Service (NMFS) Jurisdiction: This file (.xlsx) contains information related to states and counties overlapping Pesticide Use Limitation Areas (PULAs) for species under National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) jurisdiction. It was generated by the FIFRA Endangered Species Task Force (FESTF) using spatial analysis to determine states and counties overlapping a spatial footprint of PULAs obtained from NMFS on March 12, 2025. It is intended to support educational outreach efforts. DISCLAIMER: INFORMATION IN THIS SPREADSHEET IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE LABEL AND ASSOCIATED BULLETINS.
